Never hurry

Please, never hurry to veil
your body from my eyes.
Do not cover yourself
after we have made love
for this would deny me that,
of seeing you in this light.

Promise me today, which
my eyes long to see,
wont be hidden from me
to look upon, and
enjoy this body of yours.

I find your nakedness rousing,
tantalize me with your hips
and use familiar movements
like these dances we shared.

It calls me when I am lost
and it led me home when I
found myself off course.
This allure of your body
has again captivated me
as my favorite distraction.

I will love nothing more
than the sight of you exposed
lying next to me on this bed,
or standing in front of me,
crossing this room to me.
You have become this
favorite distraction.
My desire.

As a woman reading this, your words toy with a desire known and yet unknown... Low self esteem keeps me from seeing myself as beautiful in front of the mirror and almost crosses the line of being vein if feeling that I was that desireable. I love this poem. It brings hope to me and I'm sure others as well.
