They fall sweetly

What might be all our hearts hold
when love has filled these empty vessels.
For days bring to us anew, those
tender and certain touches we
might use as fulfillment, so needed.

Of wishes that not known before
are obliging the other’s open arms.
We entice love into this enclosure
that surrounds us, locked in love.

As we laid over crisp bed sheets
this love stretched on like fields
of white cotton that we might
linger within and dance upon
like lovers that fall locked in
wanting of need, finding you here.
Of this lust or love infused within each
inseparable tonight again, in our bed.
From my lips was cast upon yours
this gentleness that falls sweetly to you.
