Clinging to you

We sat by the garden gate
entranced by the late afternoon’s
shade that has hidden us from the
two worlds we inhabit when as one.
Finding us with reality or fantasy
undistinguishable from the other.
Your kisses trigger new passions
that found themselves lost
in the undergrowth of this
manicured garden we sit within.
Of these vines that grow and
hang on to these rock walls
I cling to you holding you
where we sit unable to leave you
even one more time.
